2010 One Less Trip Contest
The One Less Trip contest is as simple as this: Leave your car at home and choose to bike, walk, carpool or ride the bus. Then log your miles with Drive Less, Live More to enter to win prizes.
You can carpool with a friend to work or shopping, ride a bike or walk to a friend's house, the grocery, or the ice cream shop. It doesn't have to be a long trip -- but it can be. It's all up to you.
After each trip, log the distance in our easy-to-use online form. At the end of each month, the people with the most miles in each mode win prizes.
(Please note: You may win only one monthly contest during the campaign. But be sure to continue to log your trips to increase your chances of winning the grand prize.)
At the end of the contest, we will draw a grand prize winner as well as second- and third-prize winners. Participants' names are entered once for every four times they choose alternative transportation instead of driving their car.
Prizes for the 2010 One Less Trip Contest include a Grand Prize $1,000 Visa Gift Card; Second Prize Stay-Cation Package; Third Prize $50 gift card to Brixx Ice Company. Monthly prizes, including gift cards from Roderer’s Shoes, K&G Bike Center, Shell and Target also are available.
Employees of Five Rivers MetroParks, MVRPC, Miami Conservancy and Greater Dayton RTA are not eligible for prizes but are encouraged to participate in the One Less Trip Contest.
